OVERVIEW
Dakshin Kamrup College library is one of the best college libraries in Assam providing efficient services to the readers.The library has been aiming to supplement the knowledge of the students which they acquire from their teachers. The Library has two buildings with stack room, librarian’s room, main server room, student’s reading room, teacher’s reading room, digital room etc. There are more than 53004 books covering all subject, including books of text,reference,general knowledge and more than a dozen of local and national newspapers,journals and other information sources like thesis, dissertations, bound volume, maps , globes ,floppy,discs,cds etc. The college library also include some cd’s for specially abled students.In addition to this, the college has subscribed to ONOS where many books and journals are freely available for both students and faculties. The library provide adequate and appropriate sitting arrangement for the users for effective use of library resources. The Library opens for student and teachers on all working days from 9 A.M to 4 P.M. The college library rules are framed in keeping with universal library rules and books are classified as Dewy decimal classification 23rd edition. Computerization of the college library has been done with soul 2.0.

LIBRARY COMMITTEE
Library
committee of Dakshin Kamrup College consists of a group of persons who are empowered
to do certain jobs relating to library and administration. They are responsible
for the progress of the library. The library committee includes a chairman, convener and members from all head
of the depts.
